The development of science parks stems from the innovation in industry technology and the gathering of talent. The Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP), through the "Southern Taiwan Science Park Emerging Technology Application Plan," promotes industry-academia-research collaboration to enhance the innovative product technologies of park enterprises. Additionally, the "Science Park Talent Cultivation Grant Program" encourages students to intern at park companies, fostering the talent needed in the park. Moreover, by implementing the "Southern Taiwan Science Park Talent Cultivation and Industry-Academia Cooperation Program," STSP offers training courses for employees and reserve talent for newly-established science parks. This plan also establishes a talent matching platform to assist park enterprises in recruiting talent.
“Southern Taiwan Science Park Emerging Technology Application Plan”
To facilitate the employment growth and industrial innovation, and to encourage scientific undertakings to form alliances with different industries or academia jointly engage in the research and development of emerging technologies.
Since 2021, the Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau has consolidated existing resources to promote the Science Park emerging technology application project, and has carried out cross-industry alliances guided by industrial needs.
Meanwhile, to introduce the forces from academia and research areas as well as to encourage industry and academia to jointly invest in the development of industrial heterogeneous integration and key technologies are presented, so as to promote the talent cultivation, solve market problems, cultivate new start-ups and create talent value. Finally, the win-win situation of industrial innovation and transformation as well as the synergy of derivative industry clusters are achieved.
“Science Park Talent Cultivation Grant Program”
This program offers professional module classes linked to the high-tech industry for surrounding colleges and universities. The aim is to improve the professional skills and capabilities of graduates, and through internship, to teach practical experiences which can be modulated to close the learning gap between technological talents, Park enterprises, academia, and research institutions.

This program provides industry-related professional and technical courses and industry-academia cooperation activities not only to improve the competitiveness of the STSP’s employees but also inspire and enhance the overall innovative thinking and R&D capacity.

“Introduction to the iBioMed Flagship Hall”
The "iBioMed Flagship Hall" is an exhibition space established by the Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau in the Kaohsiung Science Park on December 17, 2019. Its main purpose is to show the achievements of the precision health industry cluster in STSP and to assist the companies in STSP in promoting their latest products and technologies. In addition to hosting visits, the venue serves as a place for companies to connect with suitable partners and negotiate business deals. The Bureau will also organize seminars and training courses here from time to time. People from industry, government, academia, research, and medical groups are welcome to make good use of this facility.
