Kaohsiung Science Park
A:
The maximum average daily water consumption of Kaohsiung Science Park is about 60,000 tons and the Water Resources Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has agreed to be responsible for its allocation. Therefore, the Tai No.1 pipeline provides a 2,000mm major water supply system. In addition, the Lujhu Water Purification Station also provides water to Kaohsiung Science Park. Therefore, the water supply at the Park is very stable.

There has been no risk of flooding indicated at Kaohsiung Science Park. There are four detention ponds planned at Kaohsiung Science Park and a good drainage system that has been designed and is currently being constructed.
The 8th River Bureau of the Water Resources Agency has implemented the “Flood-Prone Area Management Plan” in March 2012. Besides, construction of Yongan Detention Pond was completed in May 2016. Based on these measures, Kaohsiung Science Park should be free of flooding concerns.

- Industrial services:
- The Bank of Taiwan provides financial services from F1 to F3 of the Administration Service Building at the Kaohsiung Science Park.
- The convenience office on Floor 1 of the Administration Building at the Kaohsiung Science Park provides Park tenants with mail services.
- The Kaoshiung Customs Jianan Branch (Southern Taiwan Science Park), Ministry of Finance operates on the 7th floor of the Administration Building at Kaohsiung Science Park and provides export and import declaration and bonded customs services.
- Employment Services Station: The STSPB has worked with the Labor Affairs Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government to provide employment services between 14:00 and 16:30 every Wednesday at Room 105 of Kao Yuan University.
- Phase I Standard Factory: Now it has the presence of Bosch Rexroth Co., Ltd.
- Amenities:
- The “7-11 Lujia Store is located at the dormitory area of the Kaohsiung Science Park and 7-11 Lupo Store and Kustos Café are located in the area of KSP Administration Building.
- Outdoor Courts and Skating Rink (open for external use):
- One(1) basketball court basket at Management and Service Land No.5.
- Two(2) basketball court baskets and one(1) tennis court net at Water Facilities Land No.5.
- Two (2) basketball court baskets and two (2) tennis court nets at Park Land No.7.
- One (1) softball court, three (3) basketball court basket, and three (3) tennis court nets at Park Land No.2
- One(1) skating rink at Park Land No.2.
- On Basement Floor 1 of the Phase I Standard Factory, Secret Kitchen Restaurant offers affordable and tasty buffet courses (one main entry and three side dishes), Nabeyaki noodles, Japanese rice bowls (Donburi), fried foods, and cold brewed tea. Meal box delivery services are also available for park enterprises at KSP.
- Little Bear Childcare Center in KSP Dormitory Area
The Center is designated for young children between 2 months and two years old by placing them in small groups to be cared for by professional nannies and teachers in early education.
Caring hours: 7:00 to 18:00 from Monday to Friday.
Ages of Children the Center Cares for: Between 2 months and two years of age and our recruitment priority goes to the children or grandchildren of employees of Park tenants in the Kaohsiung Science Park. When more seats become available, we will open the center for children of residents in the surrounding areas of the Kaohsiung Science Park.

Kaohsiung City Private Luer Children’s Kindergarten:
Located on the opposite from the Administration Building of Kaohsiung Science Park, the Kindergarten is a white building surrounded by trees under the sunshine, very suitable for children to live and learn. Teachers here work very hard to provide high-quality educational services for kids on the learning journey.
- Service time: from 7:30 to 18:00 between Monday and Friday.
- Age of entry: kids between two and elementary school. Priorities will be given to children and grandchildren of those working in the Kaohsiung Science Park before enrollment is open to children of surrounding community residents.

As confirmed by the Fire Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, the factory setting up application at Kaohsiung Science Park is allowed to be processed to those with fire-fighting system permits and land development (parallel operation) permits. The submission for the inspection of the fire-fighting system can be processed without the approval of either the Land Development Division of the STSPB or the registration approval or sealing of the STSPB.

- By car
- From National Highways(Southbound)
- Drive on southbound lines of National Highway No.1 and exit at Gangshan Interchange (349K). Turn right to City Road No.186 Jieshou East Rd. (heading for Gangshan) and then turn left to Youcing Rd.. Go straight to Daliao Rd. and turn right to 1-2 Planning Rd. to arrive at Ciaotou Science Park.
- Take southbound lanes of National Highway No.1 and exit at Gangshan Interchange (349K) and turn left to City Road No.186 Anjhou Rd. (heading for Yencao). Turn right to Provincial Highway 39 (under the THSR bridge) to enter Ciaotou Science Park.
- Drive on southbound lanes of National Highway No.3 and exit at Jiouru Interchange. Turn left to Provincial Highway No.3 and then turn left to Provincial Highway No.22. Turn right to connect City Road 186 Jiaosu Rd. Turn left to THSR Zongchang Rd. to enter Ciaotou Science Park.
- National Highways (Northbound)
- Drive on northbound lanes of National Highway No.1 and exit at Gangshan Interchange (349K). Turn right to City Road No.186 Jieshou East Rd. (heading for Gangshan) and then turn left to Youcing Rd.. Go straight to Daliao Rd. and turn right to 1-2 Planning Rd. to arrive at Ciaotou Science Park.

Turn left on Jhongsiao Rd. and then turn right to Provincial Highway 19A (Shitan Rd.) to connect City Road No.186 Jieshou East Rd. Turn right to Youcing Rd. Go to Daliao Rd. and turn right to Planning Rd. 1-2 to enter Ciaotou Science Park.
- From the Provincial Highway No.1 (Northbound)
- Drive to Ciaotou District from Gangshan District and take Provincial Highway No.1 to Planning Rd. 1-1. Turn right to enter Ciaotou Science Park.
- Drive to Ziguan District from Nanzi District and take northbound Provincial Highway No.17. Turn right on Deming Rd. and then turn right to Provincial Highway No.1 to connect to Planning Rd. 1-1 to enter Ciaotou Science Park.
- By Mass Transit (Taiwan Railways, Kaohsiung City Bus and Public Bike)
- Taiwan Railways Ciaotou Station
- Exit the Station and go straight to Chvnggong Rd. and take yellow cab city bus No.95 to Haifong Station to enter Ciaotou Science Park.
- Visitors can also take a taxi to Ciaotou Science Park.
- MRT
- MRT Kaohsiung Metropolitan Park Station: Take GD Bus 7C, Kaohsiung Bus 97, and South Taiwan Bus 58B to “NKUST (1st East Campus) Station” to arrive at Ciaotou Science Park.
- MRT Ciaotou Train Station: Take Yellow Cab Bus 95 to Haifong Station to arrive at Ciaotou Science Park.
- MRT Chingpu Station: Take GD Bus 7C to NKUST (1st East Campus) Station” to arrive at Ciaotou Science Park.

- The park enterprises shall pay the land rent and share the construction cost of public facilities associated with the leased land. For land rent information, please go to STSP Website/ INVESTMENT/ Fees & Charge.
- Land lease payment is collected according to the Rules Governing Land Rent and Payment in Science Parks. When any adjustment of the announced land values, rent ratio of national lands ratified by the Executive Yuan or any other adjustment is made, the land payment will be adjusted accordingly. In principle, the payment is adjusted every two years when the announced land values are adjusted. Next adjustment time: January 1, 2026.

It takes about 25-minute drive to THSR Zuoying Station, 35-minute drive to Siaogang International Airport and Kaohsiung Harbor, and 6 minutes to TR and KMRT Ciaotou Station from Ciaotou Science Park.

- Park enterprises shall firstly promote waste reduction, recycling, and reuse. The STSPB has set up the Resource Recycling Center in TSP (waste treatment facility) and before the building of the 2nd incinerator, park enterprises are recommended to utilize available public and private waste recourse recycling plants outside the Science Park or legal disposal facilities set up under the guidance of the industry competent authority to handle their waste.
- After the capacity of waste treatment facility in TSP is expanded, park enterprises shall apply to the STSPB for waste treatment and provide relevant information such as waste testing reports or safety data sheets (SDSs). The STSPB will reply with official letters to inform whether waste can be properly handled. Park enterprises shall reduce, recycle, and reuse waste not accepted by the Resource Recycling Center.
Pingtung Science Park
A:Directions to Pingtung Science Park of STSP:
- By car
- From National Highways(Southbound)
- Drive on southbound lines of National Highway No.1 and exit at Jiuru Interchange (365K). Turn right to Jiuru 1st Road (heading east) and continue on Provincial Highway No. 1 until you reach Gaoping Bridge. Stay on Provincial Highway No.1, then make a left turn to arrive at Pingtung Science Park.
- Take National Highway No.3 southbound until the Jiuru Interchange (391K). Turn right to Provincial Highway No.3, then take a right turn to Tifang Road. Make a left turn to Jianguo Road (Provincial Highway No.1) and enter Pingtung Science Park.
- National Highways (Northbound)
- Take National Highway No.3 northbound and connect to Provincial Highway No. 88, heading towards Wandan Township. From Wanshun Road Section 2, turn right on Lunding Road, then make a left turn to Huilun Road. Turn right to Heti South Road, then make a left turn to County Highway 189. Finally, turn right to Jianguo Road (Provincial Highway No.1) and enter Pingtung Science Park.
- From the Provincial Highway No.1 (Southbound)
- rive on Provincial Highway No.1 towards Nanzi District. Make a left turn to Shueiguan Road Gao 52-1 Township Road in Nanzi District. Turn right to Fongren Road (183 County Highway), then make a left turn to Shennong Road towards Daliao District. Make a left turn to Fengping 2nd Road (Provincial Highway No.1) and continue until you reach Jianguo Road (Provincial Highway No.1). Finally, make a left turn to enter Pingtung Science Park.
- From the Provincial Highway No.1 (Northbound)
- Heading towards Pingtung City, follow Provincial Highway No.1 northbound until you reach Jianguo Road (Provincial Highway No.1). Make a left turn to enter Pingtung Science Park.
- Heading towards Pingtung City, drive northbound on Longzhou Road (Provincial Highway No.17). Connect to Heti North Road towards Wandan 189 County Highway. Finally, make a left turn to Jianguo Road (Provincial Highway No.1) to enter Pingtung Science Park.
- By Mass Transit (Taiwan Railways, City Bus and Public Bike)
- Taiwan Railways Pingtung Station
- Exit the Station and go straight to Guangfu Road and wait for buses 516 or 8084 to West Pingtung Station, which will take you to Pingtung Science Park.
- Visitors can also take a taxi to Pingtung Science Park.

- Take National Highway No. 3 southbound to Yunlin Interchange (30K), then switch to National Highway No. 1 southbound to Chiayi Interchange (264K). Follow County Highway 159 towards Chiayi. Turn right to Jiachu South Road, then right to HSR Boulevard, Provincial Highway No.18. Turn right to Gugong Boulevard, then right to Gugong East Road to enter Chiayi Science Park.
- National Highways (Northbound)

- Southbound on National Highway No. 1:
- Take National Highway No. 1 and exit at Nanzih Interchange (356K). Connect to Tai No. 22 Cinan Highway (heading for Kaohsiung) and turn right onto Tuku 1st Rd. Drive straight to Deming Rd., turn left onto Haijhuan Rd., and then turn right onto Jiachang Rd.. Turn left into Nanzih Science Park.
- Take National Highway No.1 and exit at Nanzih Interchange (356K); connect Tai No. 22 Cinan Highway (heading for Kaohsiung). Go straight to connect to Taiwan Provincial Highway #1 and turn right onto 52-1 Shuguan Rd. to enter the Nanzih Science Park.
- Northbound on National Highway #1:
- Take National Highway No. 1 and exit at Nanzih Interchange (356K); head for Nanzih and turn left onto Kao No. 47 Singnan Rd. and go straight to connect to 183 Fengnan Rd. and then turn right onto Nanyang Rd.. Turn left onto Jiachang Rd., and then turn left to enter the Nanzih Science Park.
- Southbound on Taiwan Provincial Highway #1
- Head for Pingtung from Kaohsiung (368K) and turn right onto Deming Rd.
Turn left onto Haijhuan Rd. and turn right onto Jiachang Rd. Turn left to enter the Nanzih Science Park.
- Head for Pingtung from Kaohsiung (369K) and turn right onto Nanyang Overpass. Turn left onto Jiachang Rd. and then turn left to enter the Nanzih Science Park.
- Head for Pingtung from Kaohsiung (368K+500); take the right lane to connect with Kaonan Highway. Turn right onto Jiachang Rd. and then turn left to enter the Nanzih Science Park.
- Northbound on Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 1
- Head for Kaohsiung from Pingtung (369K+500) and stay in the right lane to join Nanyang Overpass. Turn left onto Jiachang Rd. and then turn left to enter the Nanzih Science Park.
- Head for Kaohsiung from Pingtung (371K) and turn left on Kao 52-1 Shuiguan Rd. to enter the Nanzih Science Park.
- Southbound on Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 17
- Head for Kaohsiung from Pingtung (216K+500) and go straight to join Jiachang Rd. to enter the Nanzih Science Park.
- Northbound on Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 17
- Head for Kaohsiung from Pingtung (216K+500) and take Cuihua Rd. to connect to Zuonan Rd. Turn right onto Houchang Rd. to enter the Nanzih Science Park.
- City Buses
- To enter the Nanzih Science Park: Take Kaohsiung City Bus No. 219A or 301 and get off at “Houjing Dormitory Stop”. Then walk about five minutes to the Nanzih Science Park.
- Exit for the Nanzih Science Park is on the opposite side of where you get off for the bus stop.
- MRT
- Get off at “Oil Refinery Elementary School” and then take Kaohsiung City Bus N. 219A or 301 and get off at “Houjing Dormitory Stop”. Then walk about five minutes to the Nanzih Science Park.
- THSR
- Get off at “THSR Zuoying Station” and take Kaohsiung City Bus 301 to “Houjing Dormitory Stop.” Walk about five minutes to the Nanzih Science Park.
- Taiwan Railway
- Take the train and get off at “New Zuoying Station”. Then, ride on Kaohsiung City Bus No. 301 and get off at “Houjing Dormitory Stop” and walk about five minutes to the Nanzih Science Park.
